Advantage Educational Programs (The Advantage) is an ACT test prep organization under the guidance of directors, Gary F. Campbell and Jerri Ann Moore. Since its inauguration in 1988, The Advantage has helped thousands of students achieve higher scores on the ACT exam and ultimately gain admission to the colleges or universities of their choice.
We offer a 12-hour In-Person ACT Prep Course or Virtual ACT Prep Course to help students prepare for the ACT exam. In addition, we offer an Online ACT Prep Course that allows students to prepare for the ACT exam on their own and at their desired pace.
The in-Person classes are held at participating high schools, middle schools, and other convenient locations. The virtual classes meet in a virtual classroom and are led by certified instructors. The online classes allow students to prepare for the ACT exam on their own at their desired pace.
Classes are offered in the fall, winter, spring and summer. They typically meet once each week for four, three-hour sessions. Summer classes are generally held in late-July and August. Please check our Schedules and Registration tab for current times and locations.
We care about your privacy. We will not share any of your registration information with outside parties. Click here to read our Privacy Policy.
Full refunds, minus any credit card processing fees are given upon request if they are submitted before the day classes begin. Refunds are not given after classes commence.
We provide all the materials you'll need for the course. Although we recommend that students do practice work at home, we don't require it.
You will be provided with a Student Workbook in your first in-school class or you will be able to print out the workbook when you begin your online class. You should bring pencils, paper, calculator, and a small three-ring binder or folder for your handouts, to all of your class.
The registration fee for the in-school course and virtual course is $150. The registration fee for the online course is $60.
Yes, all students may repeat the course online as often as needed until they graduate from high school.
Yes. If space is available, you may attend an alternate location to make up the class that you missed OR you will receive access to The Advantage Online ACT Prep Course or a recording of the Virtual ACT Prep Course that you missed.
Almost every student who plans to attend college must take either the ACT or the SAT college entrance exam. Studies by the Federal Trade Commission show that students who prepare for their college exams score significantly higher than those who do not.
The ACT exam is offered seven times each year. You should take the exam in the fall, spring or summer of your junior year, or in the first semester of your senior year, at the latest. Furthermore, you are not limited on the number of times you can take the ACT exam.
Class sizes are limited. Students who register for the in-person course are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, with late registrations accepted as long as space is available.
If you are denied entry into a class that has closed, you will be given the option of attending classes at an alternative location or enrollment in the online course, in which case, you will be refunded the difference in tuition price.
You may register for the virtual and online courses at any time.
We will confirm your class registration and classroom assignment by email or by phone approximately 7-10 days before classes begin.
